Nurse Manager

Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the backyard of the beautiful Michigan State University campus. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Nurse Manager (RN) for our Long-Term Care unit (36 beds).

$8,000 SIGN ON BONUS BEING OFFERED!!!

Salary: $75,900 - $82,500

Monday – Friday, Day Shift

Here are some of the Nurse Manager responsibilities:

  • Oversee the 36-bed Long-Term Care unit
  • Evaluate and adjust nursing care to meet goals, update care plans, and assess residents’ conditions or placements.
  • Monitor medication, supply, and equipment inventory.
  • Conduct routine and corrective audits as directed.
  • Oversee wound care with the Skin and Wound Program and Wound Nurse, completing documentation in their absence.
  • Manage investigations of incidents/accidents in PCC/Risk Management, ensuring root-cause analysis and care plan updates.
  • Participate in surveys and investigations made by authorized government agencies, and consultants as appropriate.
  • Supervises, directs and provides mentorship to nursing personnel on all shifts.
  • Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, disciplinary action and evaluation of nursing staff.

Qualifications we need you to have:

  • Must have a valid RN license in Michigan and at least 1 year of clinical experience in acute or long-term care, with expertise in geriatric/rehabilitation, restorative nursing, and wound care.
  • Preferred: 1 year of management or supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts, flexible hours, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities are essential.
  • Must demonstrate patience, respect, and courtesy in interactions with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
